The Executive Student training program is a 12-hour training program that teaches organizational skills and time management to teens and pre-teens.
With Executive Student™ training, students will:
- Transition from telling time to managing time.
- Learn an easy system for purging, reassembling, and maintaining both backpack and locker.
- Discover specific ways to make the backpack as lightweight as possible.
- Tame overstuffed binders and keep paper under control.
- Create a weekly planner and monthly calendar for managing teachers’ requirements, extracurricular obligations & social schedules.
- Learn how to manage technology (e.g. laptops, cell phones, software programs) and use it to their advantage.
- Find out what causes procrastination and how to overcome it.
- Set-up a work space suitable for doing homework, whether at a desk or all over the house.
- Learn how memory works within the brain and discover tricks for improving memory.
- Understand why it’s normal for teen brains to struggle with organization and time management.
- Learn what it takes to maintain organizational systems, and what to do if it all falls apart.
- Discover tips and techniques for dealing with learning differences, living in two homes, and balancing extracurricular obligations with academic life.
- Gain multiple strategies for taking good lecture notes and studying effectively.
In addition, parents will:
- Receive a 1 to 1.5 hour overview of strategies taught in the class to ensure successful implementation at home.
- Learn tips on how to diffuse parent-child power struggles over organization and time management.
